Who we are

PaintMeArt ("we", "us") operates paintmeart.com, an AI-assisted portrait painting service. We do not require an account to use this service.

What we collect

  • Your photo — uploaded solely to generate your portrait.
  • Your email address — used to verify you via a one-time code, deliver order confirmations, and send your digital download or shipping updates.
  • Shipping address and payment details — collected and processed directly by our payment processor for physical orders. We never see or store your card details.

How your photo is handled

Your uploaded photo is sent to our third-party AI image-processing providers solely to create your portrait or your shaped-pillow cut-out. We store your original photo and the processed image (for example, the transparent die-cut used for a shaped pillow) in private, access-controlled storage so we can complete your order — and correct it if needed — and we automatically delete these files within 30 days. Your photo is never used for advertising or to train AI models, and we never sell or share it.

Third parties we use

  • OpenAI — AI image generation for painted portraits and painted pillow art
  • Replicate — AI image processing: background removal for shaped cut-outs and high-resolution upscaling for print
  • Vercel Blob — private, access-controlled storage of your uploaded photo and the processed image files
  • PayPlus — payment processing; your card details are entered on PayPlus's secure page and we never see or store them
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (verification codes, order confirmations)
  • Printful — print production and shipping for physical products
  • Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless visitor analytics
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — advertising measurement; active unless you decline via the cookie banner

Each of these providers processes data only as needed to perform their specific function for your order, under their own privacy policies.

Cookies & tracking

We use the following:

  • Essential storage — your browser's local storage remembers your cookie choice and your free-preview usage. This is required for the site to work and involves no tracking.
  • Analytics — Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify individual visitors.
  • Advertising — the Meta (Facebook) Pixel helps us measure our ads. It is active by default so we can understand which ads bring visitors. If you click "Decline" on the cookie banner, it stops and will not load on future visits.

You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

Email

We send only transactional emails: verification codes, order confirmations, and shipping updates. We do not send marketing newsletters, and we never share your email address with third parties for their marketing. If we introduce a newsletter in the future, it will be strictly opt-in with a one-click unsubscribe in every message.

AI disclosure

Portraits are created with the assistance of AI image-generation technology, guided by prompts crafted in our studio and reviewed before delivery. Your uploaded photo is used solely to generate your portrait and is never used to train AI models.

Data retention

We keep your email and order details only as long as needed to fulfil your order and for standard accounting/legal record-keeping. Your uploaded photo and the processed image files used for fulfilment (including shaped-pillow originals and cut-outs) are stored privately and automatically deleted within 30 days. We do not maintain user accounts or profiles.

Your rights

You can request deletion or a copy of any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@paintmeart.com.
